Bayberry Formula
(Formerly Cantoxherb)
 Bayberry Formula is a herbal remedy designed
to help eliminate candida toxins. It is an important product,
often undervalued by our customers.
In an article in the Journal of
Alternative and Complimentary Medicine in June 1993 entitled 'Conquering
Candida', the original formulator explains - "Candida toxins
are undoubtedly the cause of much of the symptomatology associated
with candidiasis and yeast infections. Pre-eminent among these
is acetaldehyde, which poisons by irreversibly binding to tissues
and destroying them by free-radical activity.(1,2) Whilst it takes
some months to eliminate Candida overgrowth, it is often possible
to lower the level of Candida toxins quite quickly, and to achieve
this we give Bayberry Formula alongside the anti-candidal treatment.
This formula contains herbs that support appropriate eliminatory
pathways, and is also an antioxidant formula. (One lady who was
suicidal actually claimed that Bayberry Formula saved her life
by lifting her Candida-induced depression within a matter of days.)"

Candida produces many toxins,
e.g. alcohol, acetaldehyde, carbon monoxide, and these are responsible
for producing much of the havoc and many of the symptoms associated
with candidiasis and thrush. Bayberry Formula stimulates the body
to metabolise and excrete these toxins, and ideally should be
given to all Candida sufferers.
The herbs in Bayberry Formula
accomplish this by supporting the liver and kidneys in a specific
way, but since Bayberry Formula can sometimes reduce Candida symptoms
remarkably rapidly it is also possible that other mechanisms,
such as the binding of Candida toxins, are operative. We have
recently noted that Bayberry Formula is strongly antioxidant,
and this is of interest since the main Candida toxin, acetaldehyde,
damages tissues through free-radical activity.
Please note that Bayberry Formula has been deliberately
formulated be only mildly anticandidal - it is for candida toxins.
Although the product often eliminates many candida symptoms and
will certainly help with candida die-off, to eradicate candida
it is necessary to combine it with products such as Golden
Seal Formula E or F, Threelac,
and ideally Oxygen
Elements Max.
Whilst Bayberry Formula is always beneficial
in the treatment of candida, it is especially useful for severe
cases, and for those who have a history of a "die-off"
reaction when undergoing anticandidal treatment as it will minimise
the die off symptoms. It should precede anticandidal therapy in
such patients for approximately two months, or the two may be
given concurrently where there is less concern over a possible
die-off reaction.

Bayberry
Formula A
Bayberry Formula A is the same
as Bayberry Formula but with the ginger and butternut removed
but with the addition of galangal. It is designed to have no anti
candidal action at all (whereas Bayberry Formula has
a low level of anti candidal action). Required for those who are
very sensitive or whose candida is especially severe and who need
a product which will reduce candida toxins without producing even
minimal die off symptoms. In most cases Bayberry Formula is the
preferable product.
